Job Description CAD Operator II - Decatur, ILThis is a permanent, full-time, non-exempt level position located on-site at ADM's headquarters in Decatur, IL. Job Summary: The CAD Operator II is a mid-level CAD position. CAD Operator II creates CAD deliverables, and completes other duties as assigned.

This is accomplished utilizing Project Manager & Plant direction, field data, and legacy information. Projects are assigned by the CAD Department Manager, and project tasks are carried out under the direction of the Project Manager, Responsible Design Professional (RDP), and Project Engineer. The CAD Department Manager and Lead CAD Operators (CAD - IV) will also provide coaching and direction to this individual.

Job Duties: Develop CAD deliverables and ensure that they are complete, and accurate; the deliverables include but are not limited to; 2D Drawings, 3D models, 3D detail models, 3D model extractions, PID & PFD's, and any other CAD technology Read and interpret design drawings Coordinate construction documents with client, when requested Review constructability and feasibility of construction details Review shop drawings for constructability and compliance with design documents Advises and coordinates with CAD Manager regarding the best method for accomplishing project assignment Utilizes office standards and concepts to develop final working drawings Utilize office templates and standards Direct preparation of drawings and models by other team members when requested Provide meaningful feedback to project teams, and CAD Manager to help the CAD team improve performance Generate material takeoffs from 2D and 3D CAD data Field surveying and information gathering Development of CAD standards and CAD templates Responsible for accurate and timely Project file management (CAD files, Vendor files, Emails, etc.) and dissemination of project information Coordinate design work with other disciplines (i.e. mechanical, piping, and electrical) through proper use of reference files Maintain client communications as requested by Project Manager Resolve complex modeling and layout issues with Clients as requested Develop strong working relationships with a high level of communication within the CAD team Required Qualifications: Associates degree/diploma from a recognized technical school in AutoCAD, OR equivalent professional work experience 3+ years CAD experience in AutoCAD Knowledge in "AutoCAD" and preferably "Advance Steel" or equivalent design applications Knowledge in 2D drafting and 3D modeling techniques Preferred Qualifications/Characteristics: Maintains a positive, can-do attitude, regardless of the circumstances Always pitches in, gives best effort, sticks up for team members, and shares the glory Values and respect diversity of skills and perspectives and ensure everyone plays a part in achieving success Patient, organized, thorough, a self-starter and self-motivated Continually strives to find new and better solutions to CAD drafting and modeling challenges; not satisfied with status quo Excited about this role but don't think you meet every requirement listed?
