Job description

Warehouse Agent is responsible for receiving and delivering import and export cargo, mail, e-commerce, or company materials, transporting cargo between terminals and/or aircraft and ramp transfers. This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with time constraints to meet cargo KPI goals. The employee must consistently display a professional and positive image. โ€œLead by Exampleโ€ concept is strongly promoted. Agents must report to work on a regular and timely basis, reporting directly to the supervisor or designated lead.

  • Follow instructions received from the lead and/or supervisor.
  • Only perform tasks and assignments for which you have been trained to perform.

Job Duties

  • Load and unload trucks and/or aircraft within confined areas
  • Operate ground support equipment, such as a bobtail, pushback, loader, or a forklift.
  • Push, pull and position ULD weighing up to 3200 lbs.
  • The ability to understand, deliver and react to specific hand signals, safety warnings and or voice commands to ensure effective communication and a safe working environment.
  • Delegate daily responsibilities among warehouse team members.
  • Follow and enforce all airline standard operating procedures.
  • Assist truckers with acceptance or delivery of airline cargo.
  • Participate in the companyโ€™s Safety Management program.
  • Conduct routine inspections and ensure a high level of maintenance and cleanliness of all warehouse facilities.
  • Cooperate fully with Inspectors to achieve quality inspection commitment.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Possess a valid driverโ€™s license.
  • Must be capable of lifting/pushing/pulling up to 70 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and varying schedules.
  • The ability to work in a high-noise level environment.
  • Must successfully complete airline specific training programs and recertification
  • The ability to read, write and fluently speak and understand the English language.
