Location: Washington, DC 20433
Duration: 8 Months – Long Term Contract
Hybrid Onsite: 4 days per week from Day 1, with a full transition to 100% onsite anticipated soon
Job Description:
•We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of our business intelligence solutions. 
•Expertise in Power BI, data modeling, and DAX. 
•Strong SQL skills - complex queries, joins, CTEs, window functions, optimization to extract and transform data - help establish BI best practices across the organization.
•Work with on-prem Oracle data sources and cloud sources on Databricks.
•Collaborate with business stakeholders and data teams to define KPIs, dimensions, and fact tables.
•Build semantic layers and star schemas to enable intuitive, high-performance analytics.
•Develop optimized Power BI reports, dashboards, and paginated reports.
•Define and enforce best practices for data modeling, governance, and security (Row-Level Security, data masking, and access control). 
•Provide mentorship and architectural guidance to BI developers and analysts.
