Job description

Position Summary

The Lead Server / Assistant Manager plays a key leadership role in creating exceptional guest experiences while supporting the day-to-day operations of Bella Vino. This position is responsible for leading by example on the floor, maintaining high service standards, coaching the team, and assisting with restaurant operations and inventory.

Required Leadership Shifts

  • Tuesday: 3:00 PM – Close
  • Friday: 1:30 PM – Close
  • Thursday - Serving shift available - 3pm-Close 
Guest Experience & Floor Leadership
  • Lead by example by delivering exceptional hospitality every shift.
  • Maintain Bella's service standards and ensure every guest receives a memorable experience.
  • Assist with table touches, guest concerns, and recovery situations when needed.
  • Support the flow of service and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Encourage wine, cocktail, and food knowledge to enhance the guest experience and increase average check.
Team Leadership
  • Coach and mentor servers throughout each shift.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new team members.
  • Reinforce service standards and provide real-time coaching.
  • Foster a positive, team-first culture while holding staff accountable to expectations.
  • Help motivate the team to achieve sales, service, and hospitality goals.
Operations
  • Assist with weekly inventory and inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant.
  • Help ensure opening and closing procedures are completed correctly.
  • Communicate operational issues and improvement opportunities to management.
  • Support scheduling needs and labor efficiency by helping direct the flow of the shift.
Standards & Accountability
  • Help maintain Bella's quality standards for food, beverages, cleanliness, and hospitality.
  • Ensure team members follow all restaurant policies and procedures.
  • Help monitor labor, productivity, and guest satisfaction during shifts.
  • Be proactive in identifying issues before they become problems.
