Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor-Intern

Are you passionate about inspiring people to be the best they can be? Then join us! We are searching for a full time Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor-Intern for our Houston Adult Outpatient Program.

Our Houston location provides outpatient substance use disorder treatment services to people over the age of 18. Bilingual Spanish speaking strongly preferred. May be required to provide services at multiple locations (East End and Northside).

Qualifications Include:

LCDC or LCDC-I in good standing Texas and previous experience counseling in the substance use field. Valid Texas Driver License and clear driving record. Drug screen and background check required. Monday through Friday with three evenings a week.

Ability to professionally communicate, maintain calm in tense situations, organize, write well for client documentation, ability to build rapport with our clients and inspire them to build confidence and leadership skills by demonstrating it yourself. Ability to respond appropriately in an emergency or crisis. Knowledge of DSMV and ASAM criteria. Prefer familiarity with CMBHS.
