Job description

Dispensary Team LeadLazy River Products' Dispensary Team Leads are responsible for assisting with day-to-day retail operations and supervision of the dispensary sales floor. Team Leads are excellent communicators liaising with all levels of the organization to help implement, refine, and enforce lawful standard operating procedures that promote organization, team culture and productivity. The Dispensary Team Lead reports directly to the General Manager.Core Tasks and Responsibilities -
  • Shift supervision of all CSR's, Guest Relations Reps, Fill Associates. May supervise Inventory Associates.
  • Assist with training of all CSR roles (Checkout Associate, Floor Sales Associate, Guest Relations, and Fulfillment Associate).
  • Assist with training dispensary employees how to accurately educate customers and consumers on products they are purchasing and/or express interest in, strain information, options, methods, effectiveness for specific ailments and cultivation methods by providing educational materials and resources as needed.
  • Lead or assist with dispensary pre-shift meetings and participate in discussions and provide suggestions for improving product availability, customer satisfaction and/or policies and procedures.
  • Assist in cash handling procedures as required.
  • Assist with opening, shift swap, and close of business procedures.
  • Promptly report customer complaints or employee incidents to the AGM or GM.
  • Contributes to the development of new concepts, policies, and procedures as necessary to perform job duties and tasks.
  • Maintain knowledge of all LRP products and services.
  • Maintain an in-depth industry wide knowledge of products and strains in Massachusetts.
  • Maintain a continuous state of alertness to ensure the highest safety standards for customers, fellow employees, products, and the facility.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge on state and local laws pertaining to adult-use marijuana and dispensing adult-use marijuana.
  • Follow established LRP policies and procedures at all times.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience -
  • At least 1 year of proven retail management or supervisory experience required.
  • At least 3 years of retail customer service, customer relationship management, or equivalent experience required (such as CRM software). or equivalent retail supervisory experience).
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • College Degree preferred.
  • Adult-Use Massachusetts Retail cannabis industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with Dutchie or other Seed-to-Sale POS experience is preferred.
  • Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse customer base is a plus.
Physical Requirement/Work Environment -
  • Retail store work environment.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for duration of shift.
  • Must be able to work without leaving workstation excessively outside of regular break.
  • Must have the ability to perform work related activities for up to 8 hours a day including repetitive motions and use of hands.
  • This job function may include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over, and/or crouching.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds.
