Job description

Position- Registered Nurse-Night Shift
Clark Fork Valley Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse to support the health and wellbeing of our patients in beautiful Sanders County. This is a great opportunity to join our Acute Care team and to make a difference in the care we provide. The Acute Care nurse includes all of the following areas: Medical /Surgical, ICU, ER, SWB, It is the expectation of the Acute Care nurse to work in all areas upon completion of orientation and competency demonstration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Administers and manages prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, within their scope of practice and notifies the provider when appropriate.
  • Documents care completely, accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
  • Initiates/participates in the implementation of individualized patient education/care plans.
  • Manages the patient care plans according to the individualized needs of the patient/resident.
  • Demonstrates competencies within their scope of practice.
  • Follows all standards that are applicable to their specialty or area of work.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program, current registered nursing license in good standing with the Montana State Board of nurse examiners. BLS
  • ACLS- within 90 days of hire
  • PALS - within 90 days of hire
  • TNCC Preferred
  • NRP certification upon completion of labor and delivery competency completion
  • STABLE -Preferred for Labor and Delivery

Schedule-Day Shift 36-40 hrs. /week Benefits- This position is eligible for the full time benefit package

With seven hospitalists and a number of specialty outreach providers, including orthopedists, a general surgeon, three rural health clinics countywide and a home oxygen service. Spend a summer day on the river casting your fly or on a hike in the Cabinet Mountains. Winter weekends can be full of cross-country skiing in the valley, snowmobiling in the wilderness or downhill skiing at one of the seven resorts within two hours.
The area is also well-known for its outstanding elk, sheep and deer hunting. Glacier National Park, the "Crown of the Continent," is only two hours away for four-season enjoyment.
The beautiful Clark Fork River, nearby Flathead Lake and Lake Pend Oreille provide excellent opportunities for the sail boating, water skiing or lake fishing enthusiast.
Clark Fork has excellent schools in a hometown atmosphere. And it's close to the "big city," with Missoula just 75 miles away and Spokane, Washington, 150 miles away.
