Part-Time Valet Attendant
LAZ Parking - Eliza Jane Hotel Location: New Orleans, Louisiana Position Type: Part-Time Department: Valet Operations Reports To: Valet Manager / Assistant Valet Manager
Position Summary
LAZ Parking is seeking a reliable, customer-focused, and energetic Part-Time Valet Attendant to join our team at the historic Eliza Jane Hotel in downtown New Orleans. As the first and last point of contact for many hotel guests, our valets play a key role in delivering exceptional hospitality while ensuring the safe and efficient parking and retrieval of guest vehicles.
This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing outstanding customer service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Greet guests in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
  • Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles in accordance with LAZ Parking safety standards.
  • Assist guests with luggage when needed.
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors to provide an exceptional guest experience.
  • Issue and collect valet claim tickets accurately.
  • Maintain organized vehicle staging and parking operations.
  • Perform vehicle inspections upon arrival and note any existing damage.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements using the Flash Valet system.
  • Process guest payments when applicable.
  • Respond professionally to guest questions, requests, and concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with hotel staff and management.
  • Keep the valet stand and work area clean, organized, and presentable.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and operational policies.
  • Assist with traffic control during peak periods and special events.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred.
  • Previous valet, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to pass a background check and any required pre-employment screening.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
