Job description

Description:

The Project Coordinator – Layout & Design provides critical support to the sales and production teams by preparing accurate, press-ready files for print and ensuring artwork meets production specifications and client expectations. This role is responsible for reviewing customer-supplied files, making necessary adjustments for print compatibility, and generating proofs for approval. The ideal candidate has strong computer skills, a solid command of Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Illustrator and Acrobat), and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. A keen eye for detail, print production knowledge, and excellent file organization are essential.


Essential Functions and Duties


  • Prepare and finalize artwork for wide-format printing, packaging, and signage applications
  • Review customer-supplied files and correct issues related to color, resolution, bleed, and layout
  • Preflight and package print files for internal production or outsourced vendors
  • Cross-reference artwork with job specs and purchase orders to ensure accuracy
  • Create digital proofs for internal approval and client sign-off
  • Communicate file status, proof approvals, and production concerns with the sales and coordination teams
  • Update the production job board with artwork completion and release timelines
  • Ensure files are set up correctly for various production equipment (e.g., flatbed printers, cutters, routers)
  • Maintain organized file systems and follow version control best practices
  • Perform additional design or production tasks as assigned
Requirements:
  • 2 years of print experience
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in design or related field
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; competent in Microsoft Office products
