Job description

The Courier Driver is responsible for collecting and delivering parcels, packages, and various size boxes. You must be able to lift 50 pounds. You must be willing to be able to drive for a few hours at a time. You will be required to make multiple trips to the airports and surrounding cities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pick up or delivery of time-sensitive samples and/or equipment between client location and airport.
  • Position requires driving for various lengths of time in and around Los Angeles (LAX Airport).
  • Evening and weekend work is required.
  • Maintain a written log of daily activity.
  • Ensure vehicle service/basic maintenance is kept up.
  • Additional tasks as needed per manager, based on the business needs.

Education and Experience

  • High School completion or equivalent is required.
  • 1 or more years as a courier driver or experience is a plus.
  • Basic to intermediate experience using Windows operating system and Microsoft software applications is required.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must be good with directions/using GPS.
  • Must be organized and be able to prioritize tasks/deliveries.
  • Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret verbal and written requests and directions.
  • A customer-centric, positive demeanor when interacting with CNW clients and employees.
  • Can present oneself in a highly cooperative and professional manner.
