Your Responsibilities as a Lawn Maintenance Team Lead

  • Manage the Field, YOU are quite literally the boots on the ground. Youโ€™ll be walking job sites, checking for quality control, and making sure equipment is maintained.
  • The team looks to you to keep things organized. Youโ€™ll help structure the routes, manage the employee schedules, and keep the crew members organized and on task.
  • The team looks to you for support. You find solutions for issues that come up among the staff.
  • Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop/yard areas. Youโ€™re responsible for weekly equipment maintenance.
  • Supervise the work of crew members to ensure proper safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Ensure that all employees comply with all company polies and regulations.
  • You ensure everything is wrapped up and set to go for the next day.
  • Assists Operations Manager with route and job planning and organization, thereby ensuring sufficient resources and materials are readily available.

Job Requirements for Landscaping Maintenance Team Lead

  • Proven prior experience as a team lead or top performing lawn care technician in the landscaping, lawn service, or similar service industries will be critical to lead a team.
  • Zero tolerance for any drug or substance use as a Team Lead.
  • You will need to know your way around mowers, trimmers, etc. How to operate plus preventative maintenance. You must be willing to complete training to get all required certifications and licenses within 6 months, if required.
  • Clean driving history with experience driving a trailer is an absolute must.
  • Superior time management skills.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Flexible working hours including the occasional weekend.
  • Work outdoors in various conditions, including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise and cold.
  • Requires good manual dexterity and excellent stamina for a fast paced environment.
  • In addition, there are a few additional mandatory requirements that are necessary to be considered for this position which include the occasional weekend project and seasonal snow removal at the discretion of management.

Benefits & Pay

The starting pay range for this position is $20.00 per hour. your pay scale is dependent on your experience as a lawncare professional as well as in leading a team.
