Team members work with modern products, equipment, and methods to protect customer properties and improve outdoor spaces. Role Description This contract Lawn Pest Technician role is a hybrid position based in Cocoa, FL, with some work-from-home tasks such as reporting and scheduling. The technician will perform routine lawn inspections, identify pest and disease issues, and apply appropriate treatments following company standards and regulatory guidelines. Daily responsibilities include mixing and applying lawn care products, documenting services, maintaining equipment, and communicating with customers about treatment plans and preventative measures. The role also involves implementing integrated pest management practices, monitoring treatment effectiveness, and adjusting service plans as needed. The technician will collaborate with the office team on route planning, customer follow-up, and service records, completing some administrative tasks remotely.

Qualifications

  • Strong Pest Control and Integrated Pest Management skills, with the ability to diagnose lawn pest issues and select appropriate solutions.
  • Knowledge of Lawn Care practices, including fertilization, weed control, and turf health assessment.
  • Effective Communication skills for interacting with customers, documenting services, and coordinating with team members.
  • Understanding of PEST (political, economic, social, technological) factors or similar frameworks that may impact service delivery and customer needs.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record, with the ability to travel locally to customer sites.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and safely handle lawn care and pest control products.
  • Attention to detail, time management skills, and reliability in following schedules and procedures.
  • Relevant state licensing or certification in pest control or lawn care (or willingness to obtain, if required by Florida regulations).
  • Previous experience in pest control, lawn care, landscaping, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
