Job Specification


Class:  Classified
Dept: Maintenance Dept.
Title: Mechanic 
Reports to:  Director and Assistant Director of Maintenance
Qualifications:  High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) diploma, and education and/or experience in mechanical work that is directly related to the job.
Requirements:  





  • Must be able to bend, push, pull, and lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Must have a current driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • A CDL is a plus, but not required
  • Must be able to operate power tools and lawn equipment.

Job Goal:         

  • Perform preventative maintenance on all WCPS vehicles
  • Repair lawn equipment - riding mowers, tractors, push mowers, weed eaters,
  • Blowers, etc.
  • Order materials and keep inventory for preventative maintenance
  • Maintain a clean work environment
