Job description

Overview

CB Direct is expanding its team with a Traveling Deployment Tech to support large-scale fleet installations across the United States. This is a W-2, travel-based role designed for experienced technicians who are comfortable being on the road for extended deployments and enjoy being part of a growing company.

Technicians in this role will travel in 2–3 week deployment waves, followed by scheduled breaks where work is performed closer to home. Your location in the US is not important as this is a traveling position.

Responsibilities

  • Install GPS units, dash cameras, and related fleet hardware
  • Travel nationwide for multi-day and multi-week deployment projects
  • Perform installations to CB Direct quality, safety, and documentation standards
  • Support and guide other technicians on-site when applicable
  • Maintain professional conduct

Travel Expectations

  • Regular travel required
  • Deployments typically last 2–3 weeks at a time
  • Breaks between travel waves where technicians complete local installs

Required Experience

  • Proven experience installing both dash & exterior cameras and GPS systems
  • Experience working on fleet vehicles (light, medium, or heavy duty)
  • Comfortable working independently and in team environments
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Willingness to travel and stay on the road for extended periods
