Experienced Family Law Attorney – Utah

Location: West Jordan, Utah
Position Type: Full-Time
Experience Level: 3+ years practicing family law in Utah

About Us:
Ascent Law is a well-established Utah family law firm dedicated to protecting families and guiding clients through some of life’s most difficult transitions. We handle divorce, custody, parent-time, support, adoption, and protective order cases with professionalism, integrity, and compassion. We are seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to join our growing team and take ownership of a meaningful caseload.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in all aspects of family law litigation, including divorce, custody, support, and protective orders.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, stipulations, and settlement agreements.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and trials throughout Utah state courts.
  • Communicate effectively and empathetically with clients while providing practical legal guidance.
  • Supervise assigned paralegals and legal assistants to ensure timely case management.
  • Develop case strategies and manage deadlines from intake through resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Active Utah Bar license in good standing.
  • Minimum 3 years of Utah family law experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of Utah Code Title 30, Utah Rules of Civil Procedure, and local court practices.
  • Excellent oral advocacy, negotiation, and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage a full caseload independently and efficiently.
