Job Summary:

As a Bartender/Server in a Tasting Room, you will be responsible for providing a memorable and educational tasting experience for guests, showcasing a variety of beverages, and delivering exceptional customer service. Your duties will include greeting guests, explaining the characteristics and history of the beverages, preparing and serving drinks, and making pairing recommendations. Additionally, you will handle transactions, maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting area, and manage inventory. Strong communication skills, a passion for beverages, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment are essential for success in this role.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as an ambassador and representative for the Los Poblanos property & cities of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, Albuquerque & Santa Fe
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards and anticipate and address guests' service needs
  • Respond rapidly to customer requests in a professional and hospitable manner
  • Learn the tasting room menu so that it can be explained to our guests
  • Learn the wholesale lavender line so that it can be explained and sold to our guests
  • Serve food and beverage orders to guests in a timely and courteous manner
  • Prepare food & beverage
  • Bus & clean tasting room surfaces
  • Operate as a team member of the retail shop and the tasting room
  • Perform opening and closing procedures
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist customers with seating arrangements
  • Present food or beverage information or menus to customers
  • Take orders
  • Prepare beverages as needed
  • Assemble food as needed
  • Serve food and beverages
  • Communicate with customers to resolve complaints or ensure satisfaction
  • Enforce rules or regulations
  • Process customer bills or payments
  • Bus tables as needed
  • Clean food service areas as needed
  • Stock serving stations or dining areas with food or supplies
  • Assist in the retail space as needed - ringing customers, wrapping orders, etc.

Requirements

  • A minimum of (1) year of experience working in a restaurant or bar
  • Completion of Serve Safe
  • Valid Alcohol Server's Permit
  • Must display a professional appearance and shared fate attitude
  • Excellent oral communication skills and positive interpersonal skills required
  • Able to work under pressure and remain calm to resolve problems using good judgment
  • Able to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
  • Problem-solving skills and deductive reasoning abilities
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, squat, reach, and walk 8 to 10 hours a day
  • Able to grasp, lift, carry. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. in short intervals throughout the day
  • Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Ability to speak Spanish
