Tax & Audit Administrative Coordinator

Lauterbach & Amen, is a well-established CPA firm specializing in accounting, auditing and financial services. The firm is a recognized leader in the accounting industry and has grown continuously over the past twenty years. We are searching for a full-time Tax & Audit Administrative Coordinator to join our firm. This role will be based in Naperville.

Lauterbach & Amen is committed to offering compensation that is fair, transparent, and competitive. The anticipated, average salary range for this position is $55,000-$60,000, with the final offer determined based on business-related factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, education, skill set, and professional certifications. As part of our compensation philosophy, offers are typically not made at the top of the range to allow room for future growth and salary progression over time.

Essential Job Duties

Tax Support:

  • Provide administrative assistance by scheduling meetings, handling phone calls, email correspondence, and client interactions in person.
  • Organize and scan client workpapers and interact through the client portal
  • Assist in copying and assembling tax returns and organizing relevant materials and data.
  • Enter and maintain accurate records related to tax filings and other tax matters
  • Assist in tracking important deadlines, ensure that tax filings are completed on time.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Audit Support:

  • Process incoming audit confirmations
  • Assist in producing audit reports issued to each client
  • Provide administrative support to the audit team with ad hoc projects
Position Qualifications
  • Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe experience required
  • 0-3 years of tax or audit experience
  • Experience with UltraTax or QuickBooks a plus, but not required
  • Ability to meet quick deadlines
  • Proficient attention to detail
  • Willing to work additional hours during heavier tax seasons
  • Strong organizations skills and detail-oriented
  • Highly motivated, self-starter
