Job description

Overview
The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Laundry Attendant to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.
The Laundry Attendant will be responsible for all processing of the linen for the hotel.
Responsibilities
  • Perform all stages of linen processing such as sorting and weighing soiled and unsoiled linen, loading and unloading washers and dryers, folding, distributing and storing linen
  • Meet daily production standards
  • Receive carts of processed linen from laundry production and prepare for delivery
  • Assist in laundry & table linen inventories
  • Clean laundry machinery and laundry area

Qualifications

  • 6 months laundry experience in housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
  • Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.
  • Physical demands:
    • Ability to push/pull up to 150lbs, lifting up to 25 lbs and carrying up to 80 lbs
    • Ability to move / lift, large, heavy objects such as: linen, linen carts and/or bags of linen
