You'll facilitate high standards of commercial laundry production and linen supply for hospitality, food & beverage outlets and other businesses. What you bring to the tableMake sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.Separate soiled linen and is knowledgeable in handling hazardous waste products and spotting chemicals while using the proper safety procedures. Weigh soiled linen to ensure correct amount of linen is loaded into the washers.Operate and monitor washing and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps.Load and unload washers and dryers.Replace chemical drums as needed while using proper personal protective equipment.Feed linen into the flat iron or small piece folder.Stand and fold linen by hand.Wrap table linen using industrial wrapping equipment.Wipe and sanitize equipment, carts and surfaces; vacuums, sweeps and wet mops floors.Read and understand safety data sheets (SDS) and safety policies.Operates washers and dryers using basic settings appropriate to linen type and load size. Identifies different types of linens and ensures proper placement throughout the laundering process.Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. The employee is required to process linen and complete tasks within prescribed time limits.
