Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
PLUS plowing differential $15 more per hour
Job description:
About the Grounds Maintenance Support position:
In this position you will join a team of 2 - 4 individuals tasked with maintaining the grounds of 30 company owned properties and growing. The duties typically include lawncare, mowing, irrigation, fertilization in the spring/summer and plowing, shoveling, de-icing, monitoring, and snow removal in the winter. During the winter months and down times, the individual and crew members will be expected to assist with property maintenance and general repair needs at our gas/convenience, automotive repair, laundromat, and multi-tenant commercial properties.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
  • Lawn care such as mowing, edging, whipping, mulching, weeding, fertilizing, spring & fall cleanups, trash pickup, irrigation, etc.
  • Assist with all things snow related including plowing, shoveling, sidewalk cleanup and ice removal during both scheduled and non-scheduled work hours
  • Knowledge of operating heavy equipment including, but not limited to, mowers, tractors, a skid steer, plow trucks, etc. or willingness to learn
  • Keep the maintenance garage and all storage areas clean and organized
  • Communicate with customers and vendors in a professional manner
  • Ensure the curb appeal of all properties are maintained to the company's 5-Star standards
  • Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements
  • Additional duties as assigned

GENERAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully you must have the ability to learn and multi-task in a fast paced and demanding but rewarding work environment. Candidates must have good communication skills, a very high regard for customer service, cleanliness, and attention to detail. This job requires you to be on your feet for 8 hours per shift and carry up to 60 lbs.
