Earnings Potential:
The wage range for this role is $18.00 to $22.00. Hourly Wage is just one part of our total rewards package which additionally includes performance bonus for eligible roles, commissions, and competitive benefits.
Job Summary
The Honda Service Business Development Coordinator is responsible for professional scheduling of service appointments, routing calls to appropriate team members and making outbound calls for the service department in a manner that promotes flow through the service department by ensuring guests are scheduled appropriately for their individual service needs.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Answers incoming calls to provide information, schedule service appointments, route phone calls to service advisors for main shop service work and receive customer and vehicle information.
  • Refers customers who have questions about the work performed and additional maintenance or repairs made to the appropriate Service Advisor or Service Manager.
  • Listens to and documents customer complaints with integrity and poise and, when necessary, refers dissatisfied customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution. Responds accordingly after relaying applicable information to appropriate source.
  • Answers and responds to service requests, scheduling customers as needed and transferring all others to the next available service advisor after verifying contact and vehicle information.
  • Makes recommendations to customers on maintenance needs based on time and mileage of customer vehicle for basic maintenance needs. Documents declined services in appointment for review with the customer at appointment check in.
  • Contacts customers to remind them of upcoming service appointments the day before and the week before service date confirming appointment time and services to be performed.
  • Contacts customers due for maintenance services through the use of Honda link.
  • Scrubs and revises vin lists for open service recalls for call campaigns on active open recalls.
  • Makes the introduction to service calls as assigned by the Service Manager to remind customers of their first service and to make the appointment.

Secondary Responsibilities
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with customers and co-workers.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned by the Service Manager.
  • Maintains a professional uniform appearance and manner consistent with LeadCar Honda Yorkville culture.

Qualifications
  • Must have a strong customer service background. Previous sales and/or marketing experience is a plus.
  • Must have strong phone skills.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must possess strong computer skills specifically in Microsoft Outlook and in navigating through websites.
  • Must be able to operate multiple software programs at once.
  • Must be able to communicate well with others and follow directions.
