Job description

Wondfo USA is currently seeking a Scientist Immunoassay Development to fill the exciting position in our expanding Research & Development branch. He or She is expected to have extensive experience in designing, developing, and optimizing immunoassays in an industrial setting, and will be collaborating with the assay team from feasibility to optimization phase of immunoassays. Quick adaptation to changing and fast paced environment is desirable. Strong written and verbal communication skills is a must. He or She will also assist in training junior researchers.

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will work in the laboratory and be involved in immunoassay development that includes feasibility studies, assay design/optimization and verification & validation studies.
  • Responsible for planning, performing, and analyzing of a variety of experiments that will lead to choosing the best assay configuration.
  • Will work with human samples
  • The candidate must effectively communicate with her/his peers, colleagues and internal/external collaborators and present experimental results and analysis on company R&D meetings
  • Assists manager to transfer developed assays efficiently and accurately to manufacturing. Occasional travel may be required.
  • Mentor junior researchers in daily experiments and troubleshooting issues
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task is required
  • The candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment and be willing to learn and apply new technology to process development

Qualifications

  • The candidate should have a PhD degree in Biochemistry or Immunology with 0-1+ year of experience in Biotech industry.
  • A strong working knowledge of immunoassay principles, excellent laboratory skills, and an awareness of analytical methods in the protein and antibody field is required
  • Hands-on experience in handling saliva, blood, and urine samples is required
  • Experience in GxP (GLP, GMP) and Good Documentation Practices are required
  • Hands-on experience in lateral flow immunoassay development is preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin is preferred.
