Job description


A manufacturing company is seeking a Laser Machine Operator to work first shift from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Job Duties:
  • Operate laser cutting machines and various metalworking machines
  • Select and set up operation based on material type and thickness
  • Load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of equipment
  • Assemble items as instructed by shift leader or floor supervisor
  • Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment using hoist or manual
  • Indirect labor, cleaning, sweeping, organizing, boxing, and palletizing assemblies
  • Observe and report defective, hazardous, or other issues regarding safety, machine operation, and running defective parts
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Follow all company instructions, rules, and policies regarding safety, quality standard policies, and uphold all ISO and OSHA standards

Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
  • Must have laser machine experience with a solid background working with sheet metal
  • Must have knowledge of shielded gasses used during laser cutting operations and tool maintenance
  • Must have the ability to distinguish material types
  • Must have basic math skills and the ability to read blueprints
  • Must be able to pay a high attention to detail and have strong communication skills
  • Must have physical endurance and dexterity and able to lift 40+ pounds
  • Must be comfortable standing or sitting in place for extended period of time while performing repetitive movements
  • Must have the ability to keep work areas clean and organized, follow all company instructions, rules, and policies regarding safety, quality standard policies, and uphold all ISO and OSHA standards
