Job description

We are expanding our technical operations team and have THREE immediate openings for experienced Engineering Technicians on our 2nd shift. This role is designed for hands-on professionals who thrive in troubleshooting electronics, mechanical systems, and precision machining. You will be responsible for maintaining, installing, and optimizing complex control systems, including CNC and laser technology, within a high-standard quality environment.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Systems Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair electronic systems, including temperature controls, CNC controls, and PLC logic.
  • Installation & Testing: Oversee the installation and rigorous testing of various control systems to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Laser & Optical Maintenance: Specialized troubleshooting and maintenance of laser systems and optical components.
  • Inventory Coordination: Identify and order replacement parts according to precise manufacturer specifications.
  • Quality Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to facility Quality Management systems and industry repair standards.
  • Process Standards: Ensure all work aligns with ISO and Total Customer Satisfaction (TCS) quality requirements.
  • Team Development: Facilitate cross-training for department personnel to ensure operational redundancy and skill growth.
  • Safety & Ethics: Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all environmental, health, and safety policies.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical repairs and setups for CNC machinery.
  • Execute precision machine work using mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM equipment.
  • Assist with automated PLC logic controls and provide facility-wide technical support as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Strong foundational background in Electronics.
  • Working knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles.
  • Background in Machining, specifically tool and die work.

Certifications & Technical Training:
  • Completion of Electronics school or equivalent vocational training.
  • Specialized training in Laser systems and Process Instrumentation.
  • Ability to pass a technical proficiency placement test.

Key Skills:
  • Technical Literacy: Proficiency in PLC logic, CNC controls, and computer systems.
  • Manual Dexterity: High level of precision and hand-eye coordination for delicate electronic and mechanical tasks.
