Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Laser and Stamping/Punching Operator, where you will play a vital role in producing high-quality metal components through precise laser cutting and stamping processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery, contribute to innovative fabrication projects, and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety. We are seeking motivated individuals who are eager to develop their skills in manufacturing technology.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Load, configure, and run CNC laser cutting systems and stamping machines to manufacture parts.
  • Setup & Calibration: Install proper tooling, dies, and nozzles: adjust focal points, gas pressures, and machine speed parameters.
  • Material Management: Select, inspect, and load raw sheet metal or coil stock into feeding mechanisms.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure strict compliance with blueprint specifications.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform daily equipment cleaning, check fluid levels, change consumable parts (like laser nozzles), and clear scrap metal.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve machine errors, material defects, or program faults during production runs.
  • Inspect all finished product to ensure product quality.
  • Safely maintain machine tools in proper operational condition.
  • Adapt with a constantly changing work demand and environment.
  • Follow sequences of operations.
  • Safely handle power tools.
  • Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection of finished components.
  • For the punch-press machine: Safely set up & operate machine to trim, punch, shape, notch, draw, or crimp metals.
  • For the punch-press machine: Install dies in press according to specifications.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with CNC machines.
  • Minimum of 6 months operating a CNC laser or punch-press machine. 1+ year preferred.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office.
  • Brake experience is a plus.
  • Programming experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures involving cranes, forklifts (certification preferred), and machine operation is highly desirable.
