Laser Operator - 5-Axis & 3-Axis

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor laser cutting equipment to produce parts to specification
  • Maintain consistent communication across departments and production areas
  • Delegate workload appropriately and support training of new team members
  • Ensure quality and safety procedures are understood and followed at all times
  • Complete corrective action documentation when deviations occur
  • Operate a Hi-Lo (HILO certification required; administered by UDM Health & Safety)
  • Apply lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and wear required PPE throughout all tasks
  • Adhere to all company and safety policies; complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Hi-Lo certification (or ability to obtain upon hire through UDM Health & Safety)
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated; able to work with minimal supervision
  • Collaborative team player with solid communication habits
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
