Description:

The primary purpose of the Business Office Manager activities in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as directed by the Administrator, to assure that the proper procedures are maintained.


Responsibilities for Business Office Manager:

·        Maintain patient financial files.

·        Monitor and manage all bookkeeping duties.

·        Assist residents and families with the application and approval process for Public Aide / Medicaid. 

·        Oversee the timely submission, collection, follow-up and correspondence of all accounts receivables. 

·        Perform all Resident Trust Fund activities including disbursements and deposits.

·        Balance daily census.

·        Responsible for meeting Accounts Receivable aging goals.

·        Manage month end closing and reporting procedures.

·        Maintain patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA and facility policy.

·        Attend and participate in facility Department Head meetings and functions

 

Qualifications for Business Office Manager:

·         Associate Degree in Business Administration or Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field (Preferred).

·         3 years in health care financial management or Office Management. (Required)

·         Experience with Public Aide/Medicaid and Medicare billing and collections preferred.

·         Point Click Care (PCC) billing system experience is (preferred).

·         Knowledge of Federal and State regulations for skilled nursing facilities.
