Lark Health is a digital health company that provides AI-powered coaching programs to help users manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and mental health. The platform leverages artificial intelligence to offer personalized health guidance and support through a conversational app available on smartphones. Lark Health partners with health plans, employers, and providers to improve health outcomes and reduce healthcare costs. Their programs typically include health tracking, coaching, and educational content to help users achieve their wellness goals.

What are some typical challenges faced by health coaches working at Lark Health, and how can new hires prepare for them?

Health coaches at Lark Health often work remotely and manage a large caseload of users through digital platforms, which can present challenges in building rapport and maintaining engagement without in-person interaction. New hires should be prepared to leverage technology effectively, communicate empathetically via text, and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment. Continuous learning and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams—such as data scientists and clinicians—are essential for success. Seeking feedback and staying updated on digital health best practices can help overcome these challenges.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a health coach at Lark Health, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Health Coach at Lark Health, you need a background in health sciences, nutrition, or a related field, often combined with certifications such as NBC-HWC or a degree in health coaching. Familiarity with digital health platforms, mobile applications, and telehealth communication tools is essential for engaging with clients remotely. Exceptional motivational interviewing, empathy, and clear communication skills help build trust and foster client accountability. These skills and qualifications are crucial for delivering effective, personalized coaching that drives positive health outcomes in a virtual environment.

Job description

Join an integrated healthcare system with a culture of collaboration, resources, support, technology, and state-of-the-art facilities. We are seeking internal medicine providers in a lovely northern California community just 15 miles north of San Francisco.
About the Team:

  • Outpatient-only practice with established patient panel
  • Guaranteed salary - average earnings $280,000 - $350,000
  • Comprehensive benefits package with added perks including signing bonus, relocation, housing assistance, forgivable loan, and final-year resident stipend
  • Flexible scheduling with the option to work part-time

About the location:
A passion for historic preservation and the latest shopping and dining trends thrive side-by-side in quaint Larkspur. With its early Queen Anne Victorians, false-front store facades, and beautiful City Hall, it's easy to see why downtown Larkspur is officially listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Alongside historic buildings such as the Blue Rock Inn and the restored Art Deco Lark Theater, you'll find fashionable stores and restaurants on downtown's Magnolia Avenue; more historic information can be found here. Join the fun each September with the annual Wine Stroll and Holiday Magic on Magnolia in December. Then be sure to take a fun, full-day walking tour of the downtown area by following the Larkspur Loop map! Just northeast of historic downtown are charming neighborhoods and gathering places in Greenbrae and Kentfield, both unincorporated areas within Larkspur's city limits.
