Job description

We are a locally owned marketing and visual communications company who is looking for detailed oriented Digital Print Specialist to join our team TODAY!
The ideal candidate will be a trouble-shooting expert who can take customer files and make sure that they print accurately to various output devices, both black and white, full color and large format. You will be operating and maintaining high volume, state-of-the-art digital reproduction equipment. Candidates should be very proficient on the PC platform but not afraid to tackle an occasional Mac challenge. Good knowledge of hardware maintenance and connectivity is a big plus.
As a Digital Print Specialist at AlphaGraphics, you will be using the latest printing technology to help our clients effectively create and produce business cards, catalogs, high-quality banners, brochures, photo books, blueprints and much more! Every day brings a new opportunity to expand your skills in this exciting fast past industry.
Your Responsibilities will include:
• Ability to utilize software solutions that relate to pre-press technology for digital reproduction
• Interact with the team to create solutions relative to the customer's expectations
• Strategic planning and organization of projects within the production line
• File management and maintenance of accurate production logs
• Ensuring quality of printed materials by trouble shooting projects before printing
• Preparation may include but not be limited to creating clipping paths, photo manipulation, photo compositing, and color correction.
• Customer service, phone, email, and web order processing
Qualifications we are looking for:
• Excellent project and time management skills
• Creativity and problem solving abilities
• Have an eye for detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to accurately discern colors
• The ability to work independently and part of a team
• Expert experience using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and QuarkPress
• Proficient in both MAC & PC
• 1-2 years digital print experience preferred
• 4 year creative degree; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
