Job description

Project Manager, Large-Format Retail Construction

Irving, TX | $120,000 to $150,000 | 75% office, 25% travel

An established commercial general contractor is hiring a Project Manager to run large-format retail and grocery projects across Texas. Individual projects run $40 to $50 million, and project managers here typically carry three to four concurrent jobs.

The role

You will manage multiple active projects simultaneously from the client's Irving office, partnering with field superintendents and trade contractors to deliver on schedule and on budget. The client uses jobsite cameras, which gives project managers meaningful visibility without requiring constant travel. Many of their PMs choose to spend more time in the field than the role requires.

What the client requires

  • Project management experience on large-format retail, grocery, or big box construction
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage three or more concurrent projects
  • Experience on projects in the $40 to $50 million range
  • Collaborative communication style with internal teams and trade partners

The client will also consider a strong Assistant Project Manager positioned to step into full project management responsibility.
