Job Description:
Summary
Develops and implements new processes and manages Logistics projects to completion. Provides
direction and leads projects to enable the achievement of business goals. Responsible for gathering
project and customer requirements. Manages communication with Sales, Account Managers, Operations
Managers, Senior Management, and customers, acting as the primary point of contact. Responsible for
supporting a wide range of strategic projects that span multiple facets of the enterprise.
Essential Functions

• Develops project plans and establishes clear project goals and ensures attainment.
• Leads multiple projects concurrently.
• Manages communication flow interdepartmentally, with peers, with senior management.
Facilitates process improvement, including workflow, systems, and physical infrastructure.
• Works cross-functionally to generate new concepts and to increase idea development. Effectively
works across functions to ensure project deliverables are met.
• Determines requirements for project team resources and recommends personnel.
• Seeks cost saving opportunities, and controls project costs to budget.
• Creates standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Utilizes project management tools to document timelines, progress, and risks.
• Defines project budgets and timelines and ensures completion of initiatives within agreed upon
budgets and timeframes.
• Presents new concepts to Senior Management.
• Establishes relationships with customers; works with customers to understand their needs and
communicates these needs to pertinent departments. Interfaces with teams to develop,
implement and track customer solutions.
• Facilitates regular task team review meetings with the Steering Committee.
• Makes recommendations for operating procedures, staffing, IT set-up and other applicable areas
where general expertise is exhibited.
• Provides on-site support and guidance for project start-up.
• Stays current with technology and trends in the industry.
• Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
• Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety
regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their
understanding and compliance.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of Operations or Logistics experience reflecting increasing levels
of responsibility; OR High-school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 10 years of
Operations or Logistics experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
• Exposure to general warehousing practices.
• Required to travel by air and car up to 20% during the course of business.
• Candidates for this position must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Required
to obtain a California driver's license or appropriate state driver's license within 30 days of hire.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience effectively presenting information to senior management.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Software at an intermediate level.
• Demonstrated project management skills/experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree plus 8 years Operations or Logistics experience reflecting increasing levels of
responsibility.
• Prior experience in warehouse operations.
• MBA/Master's degree.
• PMP certification.
• Customer driven.
• Strong team building skills.
• Experience articulating a strategic vision with supporting and achievable objectives to realize the
desired end state.
• Experience maintaining professional and cooperative relationships with internal and external
customers.
• Experience performing under heavy demands with low error ratio.
• Experience performing detail oriented tasks; recognizing and correcting discrepancies.
• Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions.
• Experienced in multi-tasking.
• Experience with influencing others in cross-functional teams
• Uses discretion when handling confidential information.
• Experience implementing continued improvement processes and methodologies throughout an
organization.
• Skilled in reading, analyzing, and interpreting various reports and documents.
• Skilled in presenting issues clearly and concisely; generating accurate analysis, with a good
understanding of the cause and effect that will occur with each alternative solution both inside and
outside supplier development.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience with defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid and
concise conclusions and recommendations.
• Skilled in interpreting extensive variety of data related to various situations dealing with both
abstract and concrete variables.
• Experience with working with all levels and functions within the Company.
• Experience communicating with all levels of an organization (to include senior leadership).
• Demonstrated team building, leadership and mentoring skills.

Compensation
Hiring Salary Range: $103,100 - $128,900
Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
