SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

A General Laborer is responsible for general landscaping, maintenance and cleaning of building, grounds, and equipment. They will assist technicians with the set-up of equipment to be repaired, cleanup of area upon completion of job, and act as a support for their team. A successful General Laborer performs the following tasks in a way that supports H&R Agri-Power’s mission to provide quality products/service at a fair price to afford a reasonable return on assets.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize landscaping equipment to maintain location grounds to maintain a pristine presentation.
  • Assist Technicians with prepping equipment for repair and clean-up upon completion of job. Lend help to technicians, as needed.
  • Stage equipment on the sales lot accordingly and maintain cleanliness of equipment and lot.
  • Clean, prep and aid in loading of equipment for delivery.
  • Escort equipment during transportation, as needed.
  • Satisfy external and internal customer needs.
  • Float to different departments as needed to offer support services.
  • Complete general tasks and duties as assigned by store, service, or parts managers.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and safe work environment by interacting with customers, peers, management, and support resources in a way that promotes teamwork and a commitment to excellence.
Requirements:

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in the agriculture industry is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience operating lawn/garden equipment is a plus.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Must be dependable and hard-working.
  • Able to work outside for long periods of time operating lawnmowers, weed eaters etc.
  • Must be flexible with schedule and duties and/or tasks that are assigned.
  • Possess a willingness to take the initiative.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and be 21 years of age or older to be insurable.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to move around the dealership building and grounds without assistance.
  • Ability to repeatedly bend, crouch, kneel, stand, reach, grasp, craw, walk, or climb.

  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment safely to prevent injury to self or others.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment or outside for the majority of the workday.
