General Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Landscape/Maintenance Worker performs landscaping, irrigation, grounds maintenance, and general maintenance support at Ampla Health locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain irrigation systems and drainage.
  • Plant, transplant, water, mow, weed, trim, and maintain landscaping.
  • Operate lawn mowers, blowers, pressure washers, drills, saws, and other maintenance tools.
  • Clean parking lots, patios, sidewalks, building exteriors, and cobwebs from eaves.
  • Prune trees and maintain gardens, grass, shrubs, and other landscaping.
  • Assist with general building repairs, remodeling, construction, and maintenance projects.
  • Identify maintenance issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Travel to various Ampla Health locations as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four (4) years of landscaping experience required.
  • General knowledge of construction and maintenance materials, methods, and terminology.
  • Ability to safely operate landscaping and maintenance equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain positive relationships with staff and management.
  • Reliable truck and necessary tools to perform required maintenance work.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, squat, kneel, stand, twist, and reach above shoulder level.
  • Ability to climb and walk on roofs when required.
  • Ability to work safely outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to travel between Ampla Health locations.
