Job description

Description: The Landscape Construction Crew Member is responsible for assisting with hardscape installation, lawn/plant installation, and other diverse tasks at both our residential and commercial accounts. As a landscape crew member you will be required to assist in the installation of hardscapes, plants, mulch, irrigation, etc.
Duties:

  • Assist with completion of the daily work load of the landscape crew
  • Knowledge of landscape construction processes
  • Ability to follow directions as given
  • Troubleshoot problems in the field as they arise
  • Focus on attention to detail
  • Learn from the owner and crew leader’s expertise while in the field
  • Able to drive truck and trailer and operate necessary equipment, tools, and machinery
  • Be prepared and equipped to work each day in all weather
Requirements:

  • Proper operation of the following:
    • Loader
    • Skid Steer
    • Other smaller tools/hand tools associated with hardscaping and landscape installation
  • Ability to spend the day in the cab of a machine or on the ground working depending on the needs to the job that day.
  • Ability to work outside of any machinery on a daily basis to complete the projects for the day.
  • Experience with and knowledge of proper procedures for hardscapes, plants, mulch, irrigation etc.
  • Capacity for independent and cooperative work
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs.
Preferred qualifications:

  • 3+ years on a hardscape installation crew
  • Fully proficient with duties in and outside of machines for all assigned projects
  • Ambitions to become crew supervisor and demonstrated experience with this level of responsibility.
  • Extensive knowledge of the procedures of general hardscapes, plants, mulch, irrigation installation etc.
  • Snow removal experience using heavy equipment, plow and sander
