Job description

AJC Lawn and Gardening is looking for an experienced, dependable, and motivated Crew Leader to join our growing team.

The Crew Leader will be responsible for supervising a landscaping crew, organizing daily job tasks, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. This is a hands on leadership position for someone who takes pride in their work and knows how to keep a team productive.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise a landscaping crew throughout the workday
  • Review daily schedules and organize crew assignments
  • Perform lawn mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, planting, weeding, cleanups, and other landscaping services
  • Ensure all work meets company quality standards
  • Train and support crew members
  • Communicate professionally with customers and management
  • Safely operate trucks, trailers, mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment
  • Inspect equipment and report maintenance or repair needs
  • Maintain clean and organized trucks, trailers, and job sites
  • Follow all company policies and safety procedures
  • Accurately document job progress, materials, labor hours, and customer concerns

Skills Needed

  • Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening with a strong understanding of horticulture principles
  • Demonstrated supervising or team management experience in outdoor or landscaping settings
  • Knowledge of plant identification to support proper landscape care and troubleshooting
  • Ability to operate a variety of grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse crew
  • Experience managing irrigation systems is a plus
