Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Landscape Lawncare Maintenance Manager/Crew Manager to lead our landscape maintenance team. The Landscape Maintenance Manager is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing mowing and maintenance crews, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. This role blends field leadership with planning, coaching, and accountability. You’ll be the point person for crew performance, job quality, and day-to-day execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor landscape maintenance crews.
  • Plan and manage daily and weekly schedules for mowing and maintenance routes.
  • Ensure high-quality execution of mowing, bed care, pruning, and seasonal cleanups.
  • Train crew members on equipment use, safety procedures, and best practices.
  • Monitor job quality, productivity, and time management in the field.
  • Communicate with ownership and office staff regarding schedules, issues, and priorities.
  • Inspect completed work and address quality or customer concerns as needed.
  • Maintain equipment standards and report maintenance or repair needs.
  • Enforce safety standards and company policies consistently.

Experience & Qualifications:

Must Have:

  • 5+ years of professional landscape maintenance experience.
  • Prior experience leading crews or supervising field staff.
  • Strong knowledge of mowing operations, bed care, pruning, and seasonal maintenance.
  • Ability to manage people, resolve issues, and hold team members accountable.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work full-time in the field and lead by example.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience managing multiple crews or routes.
  • Experience with scheduling, job costing, or production tracking.
  • DOT or equipment certifications.
  • Interest in long-term growth into senior management or operations leadership.

Hours & Compensation:

  • Full-time position, typically 40 hours per week during the season (overtime eligible)
  • Competitive hourly or salaried compensation based on experience.
