Build High-End Masonry Projects with an Established Landscape Construction Company

ND Landscape Services is seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Stonemason to join our design/build construction team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mason who takes pride in craftsmanship and wants steady, full-time work completing high-quality residential and commercial landscape construction projects throughout the North Shore of Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire.

Our masonry projects include natural stone walls, retaining walls, patios, walkways, steps, outdoor fireplaces, fire pits, outdoor kitchens, pool surrounds and other custom outdoor living features.

Compensation
  • $30.00-$40.00+ per hour
  • Pay is based on masonry experience, craftsmanship, equipment-operating ability and leadership capabilities
  • Overtime opportunities available
  • Full-time, year-round employment
  • Winter snow and ice work available

Highly experienced candidates who can independently lay out and complete masonry projects, operate equipment and lead other crew members may qualify for compensation above the posted range.

What You'll Do
  • Construct natural stone walls, retaining walls, block walls and veneer walls
  • Install patios, walkways, steps, stoops and pool coping
  • Build outdoor fireplaces, fire pits, kitchens and other custom masonry features
  • Install wall, stoop, fireplace and outdoor kitchen footings
  • Read construction drawings, blueprints and work orders
  • Perform masonry layout, measurements, elevations and material calculations
  • Work with a wide variety of materials, including:
    • New England round fieldstone
    • Flat stone
    • Granite
    • Bluestone
    • Brick
    • Concrete block
    • Manufactured wall systems
    • Stone veneer
    • Pool coping
  • Mix and apply mortar using proper masonry techniques
  • Cut, shape and fit natural and manufactured stone
  • Operate skid steers, excavators, compactors and other construction equipment
  • Assist with grading, excavation, drainage and site preparation as needed
  • Maintain clean, safe and organized jobsites
  • Work closely with project managers, foremen and other construction crew members
  • Participate in snow and ice operations during the winter season
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Professional stone masonry, hardscape or landscape construction experience
  • Strong knowledge of natural stone and masonry construction methods
  • Experience building walls, patios, steps or other outdoor masonry features
  • Ability to complete accurate layout and maintain proper grades and elevations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to our Georgetown location
  • Dependable attendance and professional conduct
  • Ability to perform the essential physical duties of outdoor construction work, with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional masonry experience
  • Experience working with New England round fieldstone
  • Experience building outdoor fireplaces, kitchens and custom stone features
  • Experience reading construction plans and completing field layout
  • Skid steer and excavator operating experience
  • Massachusetts Driver's License
