Job description

We are looking for a Landscape Architect or a proven Landscape Designer who has the ability and desire to handle projects throughout the discussion, design and construction phases until handoff to the Landscape Management team.

Salary is base pay plus commission.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their landscaping needs and goals
  • Incorporate elements such as plants, trees, hardscapes, and irrigation systems into the design
  • Prepare project proposals, including cost estimates and timelines
  • When required, coordinate with contractors and oversee the implementation of the design
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather necessary information for the design process
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in landscape design

Skills:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:

  • Strong ability to build and illustrate creative landscape designs
  • Knowledge of land surveying techniques and principles
  • Familiarity with irrigation systems and their design considerations
  • Understanding of hardscape materials and construction techniques
  • Excellent project management skills to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members

Our 99-year-old nursery employs 50+ people. We are a landscape design/build firm with a complete nursery, handling all size projects both residential and commercial. We have a comprehensive landscape management division, as well as full-service irrigation design, installation and service. Breedlove Nursery and Landscape is located in the beautiful, thriving East Texas city of Tyler.
