POSITION SUMMARY

The WFC is responsible the daily department production activity, facilitates departmental workflow, and supports the activities and department goals of their assigned work function or work cell.

Hours: M-F 5:00 A.M.-1:30 P.M.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This individual spends about 80% of their time in the process:
  • Owns the process boards
    • Reviews and has visibility to past due items
  • Flow one job staging
  • Identify and navigate bottle necks
  • Pacing product/flow
  • Training
    • If the designated trainer or fills in for others so that training can happen
  • Looks for parts (escalates after 5 minutes)
  • Acts as the first line of defense for product and people concerns
  • Actively participates in the daily output of assigned area.

This individual spends about 20% of their time working on administrative duties:

  • Presentations & Newspapers: Supports the participation and contributes to the Qboards, newspapers, and presentations.
  • Hot jobs or area priorities: responsible for attending to pressing department issues
  • Participates in daily team huddles
  • Provides real time communication of area disruptions or changes to appropriate parties.
  • Follows leader standard work.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of assigned operation/equipment
  • 2+ years manufacturing experience preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of lean principles strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and an ERP system strongly preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50Lbs.

The target hourly range is $22.00 - $27.00, depending upon qualifications and experience. The posted pay range reflects the expected compensation for a fully qualified candidate. Starting pay may be above or below this range based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and training needs.

In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for profit-sharing and monthly bonus opportunity. Additionally, for eligible full-time employees, we offer a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits; paid time off and paid holidays; 401(k) retirement plan and employee stock ownership plan.
