Job description

Overview

Waters Corportation is looking for someone to play a key role in shaping the global ERP strategy and integration roadmap.  Be part of a major transformation as Waters moves to SAP S/4 Hana and integrates a major acquistion working with other professionals withing the infrastructure and  cross-functional teams on high visiblitiy projects

Responsibilities 
  • Manage SAP RISE landscape operations (S/4HANA Cloud private edition), including system monitoring, alerts, and coordination with SAP for backend infrastructure.
  • Perform SAP HANA database administration, including performance tuning, backups, recovery testing, and space management.
  • Handle system lifecycle activities such as system refreshes, copies, client administration, and transport management (ChaRM / STMS) in a cloud-managed model.
  • Coordinate with SAP for infrastructure and OS-level tasks, acting as the technical liaison for incidents, upgrades, and maintenance windows.
  • Execute SAP upgrades and patching activities (support packs, kernel updates, SPS upgrades) aligned with SAP RISE release strategy.
  • Ensure security administration and compliance, managing roles/authorizations (PFCG), user provisioning, and integration with identity services (IAS/IPS, SSO).
  • Drive proactive system monitoring and incident resolution, including performance analysis (ST03N, HANA tools), root cause analysis, and service request management with SAP.
Qualifications
  • 7+ Years of SAP Basis/security Experience in a multiple components using SAP RISE environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with the following SAP components - Netweaver ABAP ERP, BTP, CPI, BDC/Datasphere, CPQ, APO, IBP, GRC, GTS
  • Demonstrated experience working in a Unix-based server environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in web environment, especially with HTTPS and SSL configuration
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple assignments, under time constraints while maintaining high quality work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated sophisticated reasoning skills
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills in researching and solving technical problems related to SAP Basis and Oracle database performance
  • Ability to execute assigned tasks with limited instruction, providing task status and seeking help when needed
  • Ability to interact and work together as a team member with the Basis administration team
  • Demonstrated experience performing analysis and capacity planning in an SAP environment
