FIELD OPERATIONS MANAGER - DEVELOPMENT
Position description: The Development Field Operations Manager must be thoroughly familiar with all aspects of landscape, hardscape, and irrigation construction to include: safety, customer service, production, training etc. The Development Field Operations Manager oversees the installation of construction projects on a daily basis while interacting with clients, subcontractors, architects and suppliers. The Development Field Operations Manager must also interact with the Landscape Development Manager, Assistant Development Project Manager, Landscape Maintenance Account Managers, Fleet Manager and multiple Crew Personnel.
Reports to: The Development Field Operations Manager reports directly to the Landscape Development Manager, Development PM, and SrVP
Skill set and educational requirements: The Development Field Operations Manager must possess the majority of the following skill sets and/or educational background:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in landscape, hardscape and/or irrigation construction.
• 3 years of field experience as foreman managing commercial construction jobs
• Able to manage between 3-5 projects simultaneously depending on project size.
• Ability to effectively supervise, advise and train field crew members.
• Possesses a valid driver's license and must be insurable on company's insurance policy.
• Possesses a valid MA Hydraulics License or ability to obtain one within 30-45 days.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus.
• Possess an OSHA 30 Certificate or ability to obtain one within 30 days.
• Is a MCLP or Certified Landscape Professional or has the ability to obtain the designation.
• Able to interact with Project Managers, Landscape Architects and Subcontractors in a professional and courteous manner on a daily basis.
• A strong background in safety and implementing safe field practices.
• Able to read and install all plans.
• Able to operate a transit for field layout.
Responsibilities:
• Informs and updates Landscape Development Manager the status of the jobs they are managing
o Includes Progress or lack of- Discuss what is needed to get back on track, or earlier finish date for proper planning
o Quality issues of issues onsite
o Budget overages
• Communicate Equipment needs
o Job equipment needs and coordinate with LDM & LDPM
o Record broken equipment on smart sheet timely with full description of problem
o Keep track of equipment onsite
• Oversees the production of up to 3-5 jobsites simultaneously depending on project size.
• Change Order Management
o Review Scope changes on jobsite
o Process Change order
o Make sure change order ticket is completed accurately in Aspire
• Manages subcontractors to ensure timely, accurate, and met their scope
• Ensures that company production standards are met.

?Picks up materials or small tools for the crews
• Ensuring all crew members follow company safety procedures

• Evaluates performance of Crew Leaders and Crew Members
• Yard
o Trucks and heavy equipment are parked in the correct area
o Small tools and small equipment signed back in stored properly
o Debris dumped in correct piles
o Trash in trucks, around trucks, and from jobs properly disposed of
• Manage all tools assigned to your crews
o That tools are returned to Shop
o That the assigned tools are in inventory
• Materials and Equipment Receipts need to be put into Aspire, and correlated to the correct jobs
o Included Change Orders
• Approves Crew Members time in Aspire
o Ensures times are associated with the correct job and or job function
o Makes sure they are approved on daily basis
o If crew is loading the night before, time is to be aligned with the proper job function
