Job description

LANDSCAPE SUPERVOSOR

Responsible for general landscaping duties and the supervision of landscaping employees. Landscape Supervisors must be able to complete all landscaping tasks, supervise a crew, maintain excellent customer service standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and supervise a crew of landscapers in daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to quality standards
  • Oversee landscape maintenance activities including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and irrigation system installation and repair
  • Coordinate landscaping projects from start to finish, including site preparation, construction tasks, and planting schemes
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during outdoor work and equipment operation
  • Conduct quality checks on completed work and provide guidance for ongoing improvement
  • Manage equipment maintenance and proper use of tools to maximize efficiency and safety
  • Support team members with training in horticulture techniques, lawn care practices, tree care, gardening, and general landscape upkeep
  • Enforce safety rules, OSHA guidelines, and proper equipment operation.
  • Serve as a contact for client feedback, project expectations, and site walkthroughs.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven supervising experience in landscaping or related outdoor maintenance fields
  • Hands-on experience with landscaping activities related to outdoor projects
  • Familiarity with landscaping tools, machinery, and safety standards
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and manage multiple projects effectively
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate tasks with team members and clients alike

REQUIRED EDUCATION
High school diploma; a degree or certification in horticulture, agriculture, or landscape management is preferred.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to pass a background screen

Must pass an MVR

General landscaping equipment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to stand, walk, push, pull and lift up to 35 lbs
