Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee landscaping operations across the West Atlanta market. This role is responsible for managing field leadership, driving operational performance, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can balance day-to-day execution with long-term planning and team development.


Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews across multiple active projects

  • Develop and execute an operational plan that aligns with company growth objectives

  • Manage labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors across your assigned territory

  • Hold direct reports accountable to performance, quality, safety, and schedule expectations

  • Ensure projects are completed on time with clear communication to customers and stakeholders

  • Monitor job costs, operational expenses, and overall financial performance

  • Review estimates, budgets, and proposals prior to submission and assist with estimating as needed

  • Source, manage, and evaluate subcontracted labor to ensure productivity and quality

  • Partner with leadership to maintain and improve safety programs and compliance

  • Drive continuous improvement in field execution, efficiency, and team performance

  • Support business development efforts by strengthening client relationships and identifying new opportunities

  • Collaborate with HR to enhance training, onboarding, and leadership development initiatives

  • Step in to resolve complex project challenges involving owners, engineers, or contractors when required


Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in landscaping operations, construction management, or related field

  • Proven experience leading field teams across multiple projects or territories

  • Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, and job cost control

  • Ability to manage subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams effectively

  • Experience working with production homebuilders or large-scale projects preferred
