Job description

OVERVIEW

Oversees all site operations, including sales, staffing, inventory, and financial performance. Develops and implements systems to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction while leading, coaching, and developing store personnel in accordance with company policies and procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensure customer engagement and satisfaction remain the top priority.
  2. Manage store sales, operations, inventory performance, margins, and profitability.
  3. Assist customers on the yard as needed.
  4. Approve labor scheduling to maintain budget guidelines.
  5. Ensure adequate staffing with qualified personnel through effective recruiting, screening, and interviewing processes.
  6. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for all store personnel to support growth and advancement.
  7. Open and close the store as required.
  8. Ensure operational standards are consistently met.
  9. Ensure products are promptly unloaded, received, and displayed.
  10. Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock to meet customer needs.
  11. Conduct annual performance evaluations for core employees, or more frequently as needed.
  12. Address performance-related issues in a timely manner, including coaching, development, and disciplinary action.
  13. Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, DOT requirements (if applicable), and environmental regulations.
  14. Maintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, organization, and security of the yard, facilities, equipment, and vehicles.
  15. Manage customer complaints and service issues, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
  16. Monitor and control operating expenses to meet budget and profitability goals.
  17. Partner with sales teams, growers, vendors, and other company locations to ensure product availability and customer satisfaction.
  18. Oversee equipment maintenance and coordinate repairs to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
  19. Analyze business metrics, sales trends, labor costs, and inventory performance to develop action plans and improve results.
  20. Ensure compliance with all cash handling, purchasing, receiving, and administrative procedures.
  21. Coordinate yard logistics, product flow, and loading activities to ensure efficient customer service and delivery operations.
  22. Develop and maintain relationships with key customers to support retention and business growth.
  23. Perform other duties as assigned.
