Landscape Crew Member

Over the past 53 years, Hittle Landscaping ("Hittle") has grown to become Indiana's largest landscape company and is ranked by Landscape Management Magazine as the 116th largest landscape company in the Nation. We are looking for a Landscape Crew Member who performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the construction, installation, and maintenance of quality landscapes. They are courteous, responsible, and dependable. Crew Members adhere to all Hittle's safety guidelines and have a positive, can-do attitude. Crew Members are the face of Hittle and should be respectful and courteous.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools in landscape maintenance work such as line trimmers and pruners
  • Operate mowers, tractors, trenchers, vehicles, and equipment • Water plants; mow grass; trim trees and bushes
  • Install bulk mulch, down-spouts and sod, plant flowers, shrubs, and trees • Rake leaves and clean walks, fields, courts etc.
  • Represent Hittle Landscaping in a positive manner
  • Snow removal in the winter

Qualifications

  • Experience and Driver's license preferred but not required.
  • Ability to properly lift heavy materials, stoop, bend, stand
  • Knowledge of uses and purposes of general construction and maintenance tools and equipment, safe work practices
  • Ability to perform semi-skilled and skilled tasks in a variety of construction and maintenance activities; perform heavy manual labor; understand and carry out directions; establish and maintain effective working relationships.
