Position Overview
The Commercial Irrigation Helper supports the Irrigation Technician in installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems across commercial properties. This is a field position ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, learning technical skills, and being part of a high-performing team. Helpers work under supervision to ensure systems are operating efficiently and projects are completed safely and on time.
Job Duties
Installation amp; Maintenance
  • Assist with installing sprinkler heads, drip lines, valves, pipes, and controllers
  • Help locate, repair, or replace broken irrigation parts
  • Support irrigation checks to ensure all zones operate properly
Team Support
  • Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment each day
  • Maintain a clean and organized truck, shop, and work area
  • Follow instructions from the Irrigation Technician or Supervisor
Safety amp; Equipment
  • Safely operate shovels, trenching tools, and small machinery
  • Wear and maintain proper PPE at all times
  • Follow company safety procedures and report any hazards or equipment issues
Qualifications
Required
  • 0-1+ year of experience in Irrigation
  • Valid Texas Driver's License and a clean driving record
  • Ability to use a shovel and other hand tools
Preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Knowledge of locator, multimeter, and other irrigation tools
Physical Demands
  • Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Repetitive movement, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, stooping, and turning for extended periods.
  • Prolonged exposure to the outdoors.
