Job description

Our client, a faith-based organization dedicated to fostering a welcoming and well-maintained environment, is seeking a Maintenance Helper to join their team. As a Maintenance Helper, you will be part of the Facilities Support Department supporting the Groundskeeping and Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, initiative, and a positive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Helper

Location: Austin, TX

Pay Range: $20

Shift: M-F 8:00am-5:00pm

What's the Job?

  • Assist with routine grounds maintenance such as mowing, edging, trimming, and watering landscaping.
  • Help remove trash and debris from church property to maintain cleanliness and safety.
  • Support basic building maintenance and repairs to ensure facilities are in excellent condition.
  • Set up and tear down tables, chairs, and equipment for church events and activities.
  • Monitor the property for safety hazards and report maintenance needs promptly.

What's Needed?

  • Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, maintenance, or janitorial work.
  • Ability to operate lawn care and basic maintenance equipment safely.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, walk, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Dependability, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently.
