Job description

Grow with a Leader in Turfgrass Innovation:
At Starr Turfgrass, we don’t just sell premium turf; we help homeowners, landscapers, and commercial properties create lush, durable, high-performing outdoor spaces that thrive in Texas conditions. As a trusted local name with strong online presence at starrturf.com, we’re expanding and looking for a dynamic, customer-obsessed professional to be the first face and voice of our brand.

This is a rare hybrid role that blends front-line customer support with real B2B sales opportunities. If you love connecting with people, solving problems quickly, and closing deals that drive business growth, this is your chance to build a rewarding career with a company that’s scaling fast.

What You’ll Do:
  • Own the Front Desk Experience: Greet walk-in customers with warmth and expertise, answer inbound calls, and provide outstanding B2C support, helping homeowners and small landscapers find the right turf solutions.
  • Drive B2B Growth: Prospect, nurture, and close sales with commercial clients, property managers, builders, and landscaping companies. You’ll turn inquiries into long-term partnerships.
  • Support the Full Customer Journey: Process orders, answer product questions, coordinate deliveries/installs, and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
  • Represent the Starr Brand: Be a knowledgeable ambassador who educates customers on our premium turf varieties and why Starr Turfgrass delivers superior results.

What You Bring:
  • A positive, professional, and energetic presence, you're the kind of person customers remember and want to do business with again.
  • Strong communication skills (both in-person and on the phone).
  • Sales drive and natural persuasion ability, and previous sales experience (any field) is a big plus.
  • Comfort with basic computer systems and learning our product catalog quickly.
  • Reliability, attention to detail, and a team-first attitude.
  • Turf, landscaping, or outdoor living knowledge is helpful but not required; we’ll train the right person.
  • Bilingual a plus

Compensation & Perks:
  • $20 per hour base + uncapped commission on all B2B sales you close (top performers easily exceed $50k–$70k+ total annual earnings).
  • Full-time schedule with consistent hours.
  • Opportunity for rapid advancement as the company grows.
  • Hands-on training on our premium products and sales process.
  • Work in a positive, growth-oriented environment where your contributions directly impact revenue.

Why Join Starr Turfgrass?
We’re not a big-box retailer; we’re a specialized turfgrass partner focused on quality and customer success. You’ll have the autonomy to make decisions, the tools to succeed in sales, and the satisfaction of helping customers transform their properties.

If you’re ready to grow your income and career while helping North Texas grow better turf, we want to hear from you.

We review applications quickly and will reach out to strong candidates for an interview. Starr Turfgrass is an equal- opportunity employer.
