Assistant Arborcare Manager
Dallas, TX
Prestonwood Landscape Services is seeking a full-time Assistant Arborcare Manager serving the Dallas–Fort Worth area. In this role, you will support the Senior Arborcare Division Manager in leading Arborcare crews in the field, ensuring all tree care operations are completed safely, efficiently, and at a high standard of quality. You will assist with overseeing daily production, help coordinate job execution, and support clear communication between field teams and management.
We are looking for a hands-on, motivated professional with strong tree care experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to support field operations while helping drive safety, quality, and production standards. This role is ideal for someone looking to advance into a larger leadership role within our Arborcare division.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Senior Arborcare Division Manager with leading and supervising multiple Arborcare crews in daily field operations.
  • Support the planning and coordination of daily production schedules and job assignments.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Conduct daily crew check-ins and reinforce safety procedures and PPE compliance. Monitor job quality, crew efficiency, and production performance, escalating issues and providing recommendations to the Senior Arborcare Division Manager.
  • Communicate job progress, updates, and completion details with management and internal teams.
  • Coordinate pruning, removals, and other arborcare services to meet client expectations.
  • Monitor crew productivity and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Track equipment usage, condition, and maintenance needs.
  • Support administrative tasks including work orders, scheduling, reporting, timesheet review, and invoice management.
  • Assist with basic job site evaluations, tree identification, and production support as needed.
  • Serve as the primary field contact in the absence of the Senior Arborcare Division Manager.
  • Help coach, mentor, and develop Arborcare crew members while reinforcing company standards and safe work practices.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in tree care, arborcare operations, or landscape management.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • ISA Certified Arborist preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or supervising field crews.
  • Knowledge of tree care safety standards and best practices.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
