Job description

Job Title: Landscape Foreman

Location: Harrison, OH

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Landscape Foreman to lead our field operations in Harrison, OH, and surrounding areas. In this leadership role, you will direct daily crew operations, oversee softscape and hardscape installations, ensure high standards of craftsmanship, and maintain strong client satisfaction across residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Crew Leadership & Supervision: Lead, train, and motivate a crew of landscape laborers to complete projects efficiently, safely, and on schedule.
  • Site & Project Management: Read landscape designs, site plans, and job specifications to coordinate plant layout, grading, sod installation, and hardscape features (patios, retaining walls, walkways).
  • Equipment Operation & Safety: Safely operate and direct the use of commercial equipment including skid steers, mini-excavators, mowers, compactors, and power tools.
  • Material & Resource Control: Manage daily job-site materials, track equipment maintenance, and report hours and daily job progress to management.
  • Quality & Safety Compliance: Ensure work meets quality standards, local regulations, and OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 3–5 years of progressive experience in professional landscaping or hardscaping, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or foreman role.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of plant identification, soil prep, turf care, irrigation systems, and hardscape construction techniques.
  • Plan Reading: Ability to read landscape blueprints, elevation drawings, and planting schedules.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for operating company vehicle).
